Yesterday (04/13), the Azorean Emigrants Association was able to attend a heartfelt ceremony to place a plaque in the Emigrant Square in honor of Mário Rui Câmara Pacheco, an Azorean who emigrated to Canada. Beloved son and dear brother, this was a tribute requested by his family, his parents and brother, who were present at the ceremony.
On behalf of the Azorean Emigrants Association, we would like to thank you for this opportunity to honor someone who “touched the hearts of everyone with whom he crossed paths,” as it is written on the respective plaque.
