Pico is considered the largest volcano in the Atlantic Ocean, which is a point of great tourist attraction, whose main crater takes on a particular characteristic through a lava cone called Piquinho, where it is possible to have a panoramic view of the neighbouring islands to Pico. Also, at its top it is possible to find volcanic fumaroles.
Climbing Pico Mountain is part of the pedestrian trails of this island and it is a long walk that should be done during the summer months. It is, without a doubt, a very sought after place by the more adventurous and you can enjoy a magnificent sunrise at the top of the mountain.
