Did you know that the Azores have the greenest and most natural golf courses ever seen?
Yes, in our magical archipelago there are three golf courses of incredible beauty: two on the island of São Miguel and one on the island of Terceira, which have courses adapted for beginners and professionals. A unique feature of Azorean golf courses is the rustic aspect, as they are set among pastures and farmland.
In São Miguel, the Furnas and Batalha Courses are inserted in the beauty of these islands, highlighting the green and adapted to different levels and preferences. They have equipment rental services, a golf academy, a shop and a restaurant.
The Golf Course of Terceira Island, originated from a field built by the North Americans for the recreation of the military that were in the island, in the Lajes base, from this game the magnificent course that today exists in the island, also inserted in a green landscape.
Did you know that you can have the opportunity to play golf in these wonderful courses? The AEAzores organizes an international golf tournament, in São Miguel, at Campos da Batalha and Furnas – AEAzores Golf Cup, where players from the Azores, Canada and USA participate, among them many of our emigrants!!! This year we have our X edition, to be held on the 5th and 6th of November.
