EMIGRANT SQUARE
Yesterday (July 5), the Azorean Emigrants Association was able to attend a ceremony to place a stone at the Emigrant Square in honor of Maria and Manuel A. Julio, who emigrated from Relva and Arrifes, respectively, to Edmonton Alberta, Canada, where they raised their three sons: John, Daniel and Gary and welcomed five grandchildren.
This plaque was requested by Maria Gorete Silva, sister-in-law of one of the sons of this couple.
