Last weekend (22nd, 23rd and 24th July) we were very happy to have our first “Party in the Emigrant Square” to celebrate its second anniversary. It was three great days of great entertainment, music and good regional food, bringing hundreds of people to Emigrant Square, which provided an excellent atmosphere, where the weather conditions also collaborated.
The Party in the Square opened on Friday with the performance of the Duo Toadas group, followed by challenge songs. On Saturday we had João Moniz and Anderson Ouro Preto on stage. And on Sunday we had the presence of Quim Barbeiro and 4 tunas from the University of the Azores: Tuna Com Elas, TAUA, Estudantina and Tunídeos, which closed these three days of celebration in the best way.
To all who collaborated, participated and came to celebrate with us the 2nd anniversary of the Emigrant Square, we would like to express our gratitude. We also thank to the City Hall of Ribeira Grande for the support in the realization of this Festival and to all our sponsors, namely: Hiper Continente da Ribeira Grande, Diogo Carnes- Talho, Panibom and Fábrica de Licores de Capote.
