It was with joy that we welcomed here, in São Miguel, Hélya Abath, a Brazilian physiotherapist , a native of the State of Ceará, who fell in love with the Azorean presence in the documentary records she found, having collected enormous information about the Azorean presence in the State of Ceará, with a focus on the Cariri region.
Last May 12, the AEAzores, with the collaboration of the University of the Azores, brought Hélya to the University’s facilities, where it was possible to attend a lecture on the Azorean Emigration to Ceará in Brazil.
