The Festival of the Senhor Santo Cristo dos Milagres (Holly Christ of Miracles) is the largest religious gathering of the Autonomous Region of the Azores and the second largest in Portugal, after the Fátima festival. It is even believed that the Azorean procession is the longest and densest of the whole of Europe. The Festival is as grand as the Azorean Diaspora spread all over the world.
