Last Friday, January 26, at 5:30 p.m., the Azorean Emigrants Association was able to attend a stone-laying ceremony at Emigrant Square, in honor of Senator John Correia, former president of the Rhode Island State Senate, now advisor to the Portuguese communities in New England.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. José Andrade, Regional Director for the Community, the President of the Emigrant Association, Dr. Andrea Moniz-DeSouza and the Secretary of the same association, Mr. Daniel Gonçalves.
The AEAzores is therefore grateful for this opportunity to pay tribute to this incredible man and legacy, and congratulates all those involved on this beautiful tribute.
