On May 13 (Saturday), the second edition of the latest book “Chronicles – Communities, Emigration and Lusophony” by Daniel Bastos will be presented at 10:00 am at the Portuguese Pioneers of Toronto Gallery (960 St Clair Ave W), as part of the official celebrations of 70 years of Portuguese emigration to Canada.
The book will be presented by Maria Beatriz Rocha-Trindade, President of the Migrations Committee of the Lisbon Geographic Society, and by Comendador Manuel DaCosta, one of the most active and benefited Portuguese businessmen in Toronto.
All proceeds from the sale of the books will go to the Magellan Community Foundation, an institution responsible for building Toronto’s first long-term care home for Portuguese-speaking seniors, with 350 beds.
Come and mark your presence!
