The book Transatlantic – Azorean Migrations by José Andrade, of Letras Lavadas editions, will be launched on the island of Terceira on February 10 (Friday), at 9pm, in the historic environment of Verdemaçã – Café, (Angra do Heroísmo).
The cover created by Letras Lavadas publishing house, with a cover image designed by the Azorean Emigration Museum, depicts the embarkation from Ponta Delgada to Canada in 1954.
The book will be presented by the former director of the Azorean Government’s Emigration and Support to Azorean Communities Office, Duarte Mendes.
