The book “Transatlântico – As Migrações Açorianas” authored by José Andrade, of Letras Lavadas editions, will be launched on the island of Faial on February 9 (Thursday), at 9pm, in the cosmopolitan atmosphere of the emblematic Peter Café Sport (Room Peter), in the city of Horta.
The cover created by Letras Lavadas publishing house, with a cover image designed by the Azorean Emigration Museum, depicts the embarkation from Ponta Delgada to Canada in 1954.
The book will be presented by the Regional Director of Communities of the Azorean Government, Alzira Silva.
