The Rotary Club of Bristol, Rhode Island, United States of America, as a sponsor, is presenting “A Night of Fado”, a charity event that will take place on September 9, at 6:30 p.m., at the Bristol Sports Club.
The “A Night of Fado” will feature performances by fado singer Sónia Bettencourt and, as musical accompaniments, Abel Lima on viola and José Luís Iglesias on guitar, as well as a dinner.
All the money raised will go to the Nossa Senhora dos Anjos Orphanage in São Miguel, Azores.
The money raised will be used to renovate the place so that it has more accessible bathrooms, with the ultimate aim of creating a welcoming and safe space.
