BOOK LAUNCH – ‘WINGS OF WONDER’ | ‘WINGS OF WONDER’
As part of the celebrations for the 175th Anniversary of Portuguese Emigration to Bermuda, it is with great joy that we present to you the bilingual children’s book ‘Asas da Maravilha’ | ‘Wings of Wonder’ by Susana Amaral Pimentel and her daughter Júlia Amaral Pimentel, co-authors and illustrators of this beautiful project that tells us about the history of Portuguese emigration to Bermuda from the perspective of two birds typical of the Azores and Bermuda: the shearwater and the cahow. It’s clearly a book written from the heart and aimed not only at the younger generations, but also at everyone else.

We would also like to announce that next year (February 2025), we will have the honour of welcoming the authors Susana and Júlia Pimentel to São Miguel for a series of sessions dedicated to the presentation of the book ‘Asas da Maravilha’ | ‘Wings of Wonder’, which will begin in the municipality of Ribeira Grande.
