This week the world lost one of the best soccer players ever, the argentine Diego Maradona! Did you know that there were some Azoreans who came to emigrate to Argentina in the past?
Bearing in mind the sad new this week, we decided to address the theme of sports clubs of the Azorean and Portuguese emigrants in the United States. As sport gained ground in the lives of emigrants, they began to form their clubs in their communities, and even today there are several sports clubs created by emigrants in the USA. Many of the clubs use the equipment inspired by the 3 big Portuguese clubs!
