Thus, in this island, the fresh fish dishes from the sea of the Azores stand out, being the stewed fish and the roasts the most appreciated. On the other hand, to accompany these delicious dishes, this island uses its famous white wine, originating from the original grape variety Verdelho, which has a light texture, dry and with aromas of fruit. Besides these cheesecakes, in this island are also made cavacas, capuchos, Rice cakes, encharcadas de ovos.
