Among many unknown and hidden ones, the most known lakes and that certainly become the representative image of S\u00e3o Miguel are the Lagoa das Sete Cidades, the Lagoa do Fogo, the Lagoa das Furnas, Sete Cidades Lake is distinctly recognizable by its two shades: green and blue, which is related to a legend. Legend has it that the Azores are the remains of a kingdom where there lived a princess with beautiful blue eyes who loved to walk in the countryside. One day, the princess met a shepherd with beautiful green eyes who was grazing his sheep and fell in love with him. However, this love was not accepted by the princess&#8217;s father, the King, who forced the young couple to separate. The princess and the shepherd met for the last time, and when they said goodbye, they cried so much that their tears ran down the valley and formed two lagoons: a blue one, formed by the tears from the princess&#8217;s blue eyes and a green one, formed by the tears from the shepherd&#8217;s green eyes.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section class=\"elementor-section elementor-top-section
