S\u00e3o Miguel, the island that appeals to everyone with its flavors, resembles all the other islands in the Azores when it comes to gastronomy, characterized by its authenticity and richness of its flavors, much appreciated by its people and by all those who visit the archipelago.<\/p>

The famous Cozido das Furnas which is the hallmark of the cuisine of S\u00e3o Miguel, due to its unusual confection. This stew contains the same ingredients as a normal meat stew: beef, pork, chicken, chorizo, black pudding, cabbage, carrots, yams, sweet potatoes, and normal potatoes. All these ingredients are cooked together in a pan that is buried in the geothermal soil for about 5 hours, which is only found in the parish of Furnas and Ribeira Grande, with Furnas stew being the most famous, thanks to its unique flavor due to the heat of the earth.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
