It was with great joy that Commander Rog\u00e9rio Lopes, an immigrant in S\u00e3o Miguel Island since the 70’s and his wife, the distinguished associate of AEazores, Liliana Lopes, placed a plaque in the Emigrant Square.<\/div>
Rog\u00e9rio Lopes stands out as an important personality in the history of Azorean aviation, known as “safety pilot” for his remarkable work, especially during his time with SATA. Liliana Lopes is, in turn, a prestigious artist and the author of the design “Cal\u00e7ada dos Mundos” in Emigrant Square.<\/div>
