PALCUS (Portuguese American Leadership Council of the United States) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization founded in 1991 by successful Portuguese-Americans. Based in Washington D.C., it has defined the interests of Portuguese-Americans in the United States, promoting the community professionally, politically, and culturally through channels of communication between the government of the Republic of Portugal and the US Congressional delegation.<\/p><\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

Throughout its history, the organization has evolved and matured, working consistently and tirelessly, weathering changing political and economic climates, creating and expanding its community-oriented programs in the areas of government affairs, international affairs, educational opportunities, Portuguese language and culture, outreach and recognition of the Portuguese-American community’s success.<\/p>
