The Azorean Emigrants Association is pleased to invite you to the Day of Portugal celebrations.<\/strong>

This year will be dedicated to the 70th anniversary of Azorean emigration to Canada, to celebrate and pay due homage to the 18 Azorean pioneers who emigrated to Canada in 1953.<\/span>

The event will be at Pra\u00e7a do Emigrante, next June 10, at 11am and will have as program:<\/strong><\/p>

  • 11 a.m.:<\/span> Reception;
    11h10: Azores-Canada, Eduardo Medeiros;
    11h20:<\/span> Exhibition “From Saudade to Azorean Women in Canada” Humberta Ara\u00fajo;
    11h30:<\/span> Mural “Dream Heroes” Gilberto Bernardo;
    11h40:<\/span> Commemorative Plaque “Azorean Pioneers” AEAzores
    11h45:<\/span> Musical Concert “Azorean Sounds
