On April 15th<\/strong> (Saturday<\/span>), at 5pm,<\/strong> there will be a fundraiser for Mr. Jos\u00e9 Carlos Almeida,<\/span><\/strong> victim of a gunshot wound that caused him to lose his sight,<\/span> at the Vasco da Gama Cultural Centre Brampton<\/strong> (25 Fisherman Dr. Unit 19, Ontario, Canada<\/span>)<\/p>

This fundraiser will feature entertainment<\/strong> by Ces\u00e1r Russio and Z\u00e9 Nandes<\/strong>, as well as a buffet,<\/strong> which will be served from 6 PM to 6:30 PM:<\/strong><\/p>

  • Salad,<\/span>
    Fish,<\/span>
    Rice,<\/span>
    Chicken,<\/span>
    Potatoes,<\/span>
    Dessert: Various Sweets,<\/span>
    Tea and Coffee<\/span><\/li><\/ul>

    Mr. Jos\u00e9 Carlos Almeida, from \u00c1gua de Pau, S\u00e3o Miguel<\/strong> (Azores<\/span>), has been involved in an accident where someone accidentally shot him<\/span> while he was hunting, which caused him to lose vision in one eye, but there is still hope that he can regain some vision in the other eye.<\/span> Mr. Jose’s family in Boston has helped arrange a consultation with a leading eye care specialist, however treatments and surgery can cost up to $50,000.00.<\/span><\/p>
