AEAZORES DEDICATES MAY SUNDAYS TO MOTHERS IN THE AZORES AND COMMUNITIES IN BRAZIL, USA, BERMUDA AND CANADA

The AEAzores – Azorean Emigrants Association will take advantage of five Sundays in May to bring Azorean mothers in the Azores and in the Communities closer together, with online events, always at 8 p.m. in the Azores.
With the support of the Azorean Government and the collaboration of the Association of Seniors of São Miguel and the Regional Centre of the Azores of the Portuguese League Against Cancer, the initiative follows the series “Being… in the Azores and in the Communities”.

MAY 2- BEING A MOTHER WITH LIFE EXPERIENCE:

MAY 9- BE A MOTHER AND CANCER SURVIVOR:
-Teresa Almeida (São Miguel Island)

-Manuela Dias, representative of the Azores Section of the Portuguese League Against Cancer

MAY 16- BE A MOTHER AND A TEACHER:
-Carmen Amaral (São Miguel Island)
-Fatima Cornwall (USA)
-Rosa Simas (EUA/ Azores)

MAY 23- BEING A MOTHER WITH PUBLIC OFFICE:
-Márcia da Ponte (USA)
-Andrea Moniz- DeSousa (Bermuda)
-Berta Cabral (Azores)

MAY 30- WINNERS OF THE COMPETITION “MY MOTHER IN THE EMIGRANT SQUARE”
