The Secretary of the Presidency for External Relations participates, on behalf of the President of the Government of the Azores, at the II Meeting of Investors of the Diaspora, which will take place in Viana do Castelo on 15 and 16 December.
Rui Bettencourt, who is accompanied by the Regional Director of the Communities, Paulo Teves, and Arnaldo Machado and Luis Leal of the Society for the Entrepreneurial Development of the Azores (SDEA), is present at the opening session of the meeting, which took place today at 9:30 am, in which were present the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Augusto Santos Silva, the Minister of Economy, Manuel Caldeira Cabral, the Portuguese Secretary of State for the Communities, José Luis Carneiro, and the Mayor of Viana do Castelo , José Maria Costa. Under the motto “Knowing to Invest”, this 2nd Meeting has more than three hundred participants, among which are entrepreneurs, chambers of commerce, municipal officials and agents linked to investments and internationalization.
This meeting aims to highlight the economic importance of the Diaspora and the strategic dimension of the global market it represents, as well as provide a favorable environment for networking and sharing experiences, as well as identifying affinities, knowledge and laying the foundations for future partnerships. The 2nd Diaspora Investor Meeting is organized by the Secretary of State for Portuguese Communities / Diaspora Investor Support Office and the Viana do Castelo City Council, which hosts this initiative that takes place in the Fort of Santiago da Barra.
